QSLB Junior Bursary
The QSLB Dressage Junior Bursary is designed to support and inspire the next generation of dressage riders. Open to riders of all levels and experience, this bursary provides young equestrians with an opportunity to develop their skills, knowledge, and passion for the sport—regardless of whether they own a horse or actively compete.
We encourage applications from junior riders who:

Have a strong interest in dressage and a desire to improve.

Demonstrate a positive attitude and a commitment to good horsemanship in their interactions with horses.

Are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the dressage community.

Are willing to support and participate in QSLB activities throughout the season, as their schedule allows.

The Masters (Test of Choice)
The Masters Test of Choice is an Equestrian Canada (EC) dressage class that provides senior riders, 60 years and older, the opportunity to participate in a dressage class that is exclusively their own in an environment that provides a fair playing field for senior riders wherein each will compete against their peers at all levels of skill, from beginners to advanced.
Details:

Masters classes are open to riders 60 years of age and above.

Any EC sanctioned dressage competition may offer the Masters Test of Choice.

The class will be offered as a Miscellaneous Test of Choice class as per the EC Rules,
-
Section A: General Regulations, A503 and will include all levels, national to FEI.

In the event of a large number of entries, the class may be divided into two - lower and upper dressage levels - with separate sets of ribbons.

The class will be included in the competition prize list with the appropriate entry fee.

The class will feature one test per day and may have a class championship.

Scores from Masters classes will not count towards EC championships or awards programs.

Masters riders may also compete in non-Masters dressage classes.

To facilitate ease of riding, the following accommodations are available in the Masters Test of Choice:

Rising trot is optional in all trot work.
-
Callers/riders may use headsets (someone, e.g., a steward, can stand beside the caller to ensure no coaching takes place).
-
Entry bell/whistle can have a secondary indicator (e.g., someone can raise an arm once the bell rings).

Equipment accommodations may include any or all of the following:
-
Looped reins;
-
Converters on double bridle to create single rein;
-
Gel or fluffy seat covers;
-
And/or, Two whips.

Judges for the Masters Test of Choice must be EC certified Dressage Judges at the Basic, Medium or Senior level
